1 Who We Are

Knove is an AI pharmacological modelling platform operated by Knove (app.knove.bio). The Knove Research Portal (app.knove.bio/research) is a standalone research tool designed exclusively for academic researchers, pharmacologists, and scientists studying drug response across human populations.

For all privacy-related enquiries: knoveai@philabs.tech. We will respond within 30 days.

2 Scope — Research Use Only

IMPORTANT

The Knove Research Portal is strictly a research software tool. It is intended exclusively for academic and scientific research purposes. It does not process individual patient data. It does not generate clinical recommendations for specific patients. It is not a medical device and has not been validated as one. Outputs must not be used to inform prescribing decisions or any clinical management of individual patients.

Access to the Research Portal is restricted to individuals affiliated with a recognised academic institution, research organisation, or university. By registering, you confirm that your use of the platform is for research purposes only.

3 Data We Collect

3.1 Registration Data

To access the Research Portal, you must register with the following information:

We collect institutional email addresses specifically to ensure the platform remains within its intended research context. We do not use your email address for marketing. We use it only to manage your account, send platform-related communications, and verify institutional affiliation.

3.2 Query Data

Every drug query you submit is logged to build the African Drug Response Database. We record:

Query data is never linked to your personal identity in any published or externally shared dataset. All published data uses pseudonymised or aggregated records only. This data is the primary scientific output of the platform — the foundation of the first structured African drug response database.

3.3 Technical Data

We automatically collect standard technical information for security and performance purposes:

This data is not used to identify individual users and is never shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

8 Institutional Email Requirement

The Research Portal requires a valid institutional email address for registration. This requirement exists to maintain the integrity of the platform as a research tool and to ensure the African Drug Response Database is built from legitimate scientific queries. Registrations using personal email addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) will not be approved.

If your institution does not issue email addresses and you have a legitimate research purpose, contact us at knoveai@philabs.tech before attempting to register.

Users outside Nigeria — including from the EU, UK, or United States — acknowledge that data is processed under Nigerian law (NDPA 2023) and stored on US-based infrastructure. EU users should note this may not meet GDPR adequacy standards. Contact us before registering if this is a concern.

11 Research Disclaimer

All predictions generated by the Knove Research Portal are computational models based on published population genomic data and pharmacogenomic literature. They are not clinical findings. They have not been validated as medical devices. They must not be used to make prescribing or clinical management decisions for individual patients. Knove accepts no liability for outcomes arising from use of Research Portal outputs outside their intended research context.
